A Note on Age Guidelines:
How do you find books and materials just right for the children you teach?

Children differ widely in their intersts and abilities. An art lesson or new material that is just right for one child at age 6 may be just right for another child at age 10. That's why you see lots of overlap in the categories above. It is difficult to label activities and materials with a specific age level.

We have provided general age guidelines for KidsArt materials, but leave it to your far better knowledge of your students to select activities that will be fun, interesting, and bring the children so much pleasure that they'll look forward to future opportunities for making art!
